My Second Contact with Belarus


This afternoon brought me my second contact into the country of Belarus as I worked EW8A. I hear only a few from this country. Igor had a good signal here on the East Coast of the US.

Looking at his QRZ profile picture, he's obviously a decorated military veteran.

    I've worked a couple of stations from Belarus myself recently. It's not so far from here, of course!

    Hello Julian,

    I've only heard the two and feel fortunate to have worked both of them. On both those stations, I've noticed "big" amps on the radio desks. From here, they're around 5,000 miles distance. hihi

    I think I'll have to plead to getting old. I went to EW8A's QRZ page and of all the images - the antenna intrigued me the most!
